HELLO
We are Kaitlin and Anthony. We understand this is a difficult and confusing time for you. We truly hope that you feel supported and loved no matter what decision you make. We’d like to take a moment to thank you for considering us as potential adoptive parents for your child. If you choose to place your baby with us, we promise to cherish and love your child with all our hearts, and to provide a safe, happy, home and life with every opportunity possible. We promise your child will know you and their story and most importantly that he/she is loved not only by us but by you and your family as well. Please know that we are praying for you and your sweet baby, and we pray that you will find peace in your decision.
OUR STORY
We are a young, fun, big-hearted, and adventurous couple. Kaitlin is a Special Education Teacher who provides young children with Autism Early Intervention Services in their homes and also works 1:1 with Pre-K children who have developmental delays in schools. Although it can be challenging at times, she finds her job very rewarding. Anthony is an electrician in a Local Union. Being handy definitely has its perks since he was able to use his skills to create our forever home.
We have always wanted to grow our family since we both have a large and loving extended family and circle of friends. Our family and friends have been extremely supportive always, but especially of our journey to parenthood. Most of our family and friends live locally so we are lucky enough to spend time with them on a regular basis. We are referred to as “Aunt Kate” and “Uncle Anthony” when spending time with our friends’ children. We treasure the time spent with them.
We were introduced casually at a party and we felt a natural connection from the start. We spent the night laughing, dancing, and getting to know one another. Kaitlin knew there was a special connection between them considering Anthony witnessed her horrible dance moves and allowed her to talk his ear off all night, and he still wanted to take her out on a date anyways. Anthony was personable, polite, and so much fun. The live band playing that night was throwing T-shirts to the crowd (Kate still has the one Anthony caught for her). Very cliche, but after that the rest was history. The saying, “when you know, you know” applies very well to our story.
In the first 3 1/2 years of being together, we moved into an apartment together, which is where Anthony proposed, bought a boat, followed by buying a fixer-upper house and starting construction immediately. We got married at the venue where we met. This was such a special place so choosing our wedding venue was simple. We have now been happily married for over 3 1/2 years. Together we enjoy spending time with family, friends, and of course our dog, Scout. We also enjoy entertaining, traveling, the beach, taking our boat out, delicious food, decorating and working on our home ……

Scout loves going out on the boat with us to explore the bay and ocean surrounding Long Island. This is such a beautiful sunset just a short distance from where we dock our boat.
ANTHONY ACCORDING TO KAITLIN
My love for Anthony grew fast and strong. Anthony has the biggest and purest heart and would do anything for anyone at any time. For example he has helped friends build their homes, siblings and friends move on multiple occasions, pulled over to help a stranger on the side of the road with a flat tire, etc. I love watching Anthony with our friends’ children; it makes me that much more excited to watch him with our kids someday. I can always count on Anthony’s support to overcome any obstacles we may face, as well as celebrate the triumphs. He is genuine, selfless, patient, reliable, witty, and the hardest working person I have ever met. I feel blessed that he is very close with his family and friends just like I am. I instantly bonded with his family and friends, and my family and friends instantly loved Anthony. It is a family joke that he is definitely Kate’s mom’s favorite and Mom does not deny it. We feel blessed that our families and friends have blended so well throughout the years. I am grateful for all he does for our family.
Anthony is intelligent and quite the problem solver; there is nothing Anthony cannot build or fix. Anthony has many hobbies, but the one he enjoys most is fishing on our boat with his best friends. I have to admit he is the cooker of the us two; he can pretty much cook anything, so although his fishing journeys may take all day and night, I am excited when he comes home to make fish tacos with the fish he caught that day. Anthony has a great sense of humor, he certainly is a jokester, so we constantly share lots of laughs. He has beautiful eyes, he gives the best bear hugs, and his smile and laughter is contagious. I am usually home from work by the time Anthony gets home from work and after living together for the last 6 years my favorite part of the day is Anthony coming home. Anthony definitely has the best welcoming committee since our dog, Scout, and I are always at the front door eagerly waiting for him. Our future children will be raised by such an amazing man who is full of so much love.
KAITLIN ACCORDING TO ANTHONY
Kaitlin is a woman of many feelings and words. She is the most loving and caring person you will ever meet, whether you have known her for 10 years or 10 minutes. Kaitlin has a personality that makes you feel like you've known her forever. She will laugh like you have said the funniest joke that has ever existed or will sympathize and cry if it’s a heartwarming story. Kaitlin has a way of opening up her heart to people instantaneously and also has the deepest love for dogs. She is one of the most driven people you will ever meet; procrastination isn't in her vocabulary. When it comes to ideas or projects that I come up with, Kaitlin comes up with more design ideas and Pinterest pages before the night ends. With that, comes her undeniable trust and faith in me and will support anything I dream of no matter what it may be. She has a special way of building my confidence, which has really helped us grow individually and together while on our journey through life and now to parenthood. The fact that Kaitlin is naturally nurturing and has a special way of interacting with kids, has always made me think of how great of a Mom she would be.
OUR FAMILY
Scout
Scout is our 3 1/2 year old German Shepherd. He is sweet, loyal, loves to play fetch, and join us on boat rides. Scout has a calm side also. He is just the right combination of both. We love his demeanor and the fact that he loves to cuddle. He will let Kaitlin spoon him and loves to share Anthony’s pillow with him. Scout is wonderful with children- he has just the right balance of reserve and playfulness.
ANTHONY'S FAMILY
Anthony grew up in a home with his mom, dad, and younger sister Samantha. Anthony grew up very close to all his family, his grandparents on his mother’s side lived only a few doors down while his grandparents on his father's side just a block over. He was also lucky enough to have his aunts and uncles from both sides live in the neighborhood. It was safe to say there was always something to do or someone to spend time with. Growing up Anthony and his family enjoyed being outdoors year-round, whether it was bouncing from family members pools, to bike rides, to just being outside doing yard work, most of the time you could find someone outdoors. Anthony’s father is one of his best friends; he is the first call when any projects on the house are being done and when it’s time to go on a fishing or hunting outing. Anthony spends a lot of time with his dad and doing the things they love because their hobbies have become the same over time. Anthony also turns to his mother very often for advice. Due to the encouragement and support, his parents provided him with, he has the confidence to try anything and become successful in doing whatever he puts his mind to.

KAITLIN'S FAMILY
Kaitlin grew up surrounded by family. She is the oldest of 6 children. Her mom was a stay-at-home mom for much of Kaitlin’s childhood. She and Kaitlin’s dad created a loving, supportive, and close-knit family. As a family they enjoyed mini-vacations, such as snow tubing or camping, long car rides to the Carolina’s to visit family, nightly bike rides, outdoor games, playing sports in the yard, etc. Kaitlin has always felt loved and secure; she could always count on her parents. She is very close with her dad; he is serious, witty, loving, and supportive in all she does. She and her dad have created such a special bond through soccer over the years. Kaitlin believes that having her dad as her coach and playing soccer throughout the years has taught her discipline, communication, hard work, and working together as a team. Kaitlin is best friends with her mom, she describes her as her human diary. She supports Kaitlin in all she does and has been the best life coach anyone could ask for.
Adoption has always had a special place in Kaitlin’s heart because her youngest brother, Sean who is now 22 years old was adopted at the age of 14 months from Russia. One of her favorite childhood memories was the day her dad returned home from Russia with her newest sibling. Kaitlin was in 3rd grade when a limo arrived during her lunchtime to pick her up. This was a crazy and exciting surprise. Waiting for her were her grandparents, parents, and siblings. She will never forget Sean’s American flag outfit as her dad walked through the gates at the airport pushing Sean in a stroller.

We know that the decision to choose adoption is a difficult one. We hope you are filled with peace and confidence as you make this decision for your baby, and we have so much respect for you for considering this path. If we are chosen to be your baby’s parents, we promise that he or she will grow up knowing your love and strength in making this decision.
We promise that your child will grow up knowing how much you love him or her, and we will make sure they understand that the decision you made for them was an act of love. We are committed to offering your child a bright future full of love, happiness, and stability. We promise to raise him or her in a joyous environment surrounded by loving great-grandparents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, eventually and hopefully siblings, and our smart, loyal, energetic, and cuddly dog, Scout.
More than anything, we promise to raise your child to be confident, compassionate, and kind. They will be loved unconditionally, guided responsibly, and taught to respect themselves and others. We will always celebrate their strengths and victories, and we will provide love and support through life’s inevitable struggles. Your child will grow up knowing that all we want is for them is to be happy and to be true to who they are. We will be beside them every step of the way during their journey through life.
